  • MediOpustakes a zero–tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity
  • The prevention, detection and reporting of bribery and other forms of corruption is the responsibilityof all our employees
  • The giving orreceiving of improper inducements, of any value is strictly prohibited
  • Cash of any value cannot be given or accepted
  • There is a dual control approval process for all company payments that ensures they are for valid purposes
  • Charitable donations areapproved at formal meetings of the directors
  • Directors have taken reasonable steps to ensure that all staff are aware of this statement of intentin respect of corruption
  • When contractswith suppliers are renewed an anti-bribery clause will be added
  • MediOpuswill publish its Anti-bribery statement of intent on its website

 

Policy on Offering and Accepting Gifts/Entertainment  

MediOpus is committed to undertaking all business activities fairly, with honesty and transparency. We acknowledge that there will be some occasions when we may offer or accept gifts and/or invitations for meals or events.

In order to ensure that gifts/invitations are only offered and accepted appropriately the following guidance will be followed:

Lunch, Dinner and/or Social Events 

  • It is reasonable, proportionate and made in good faith to improve the image of the commercialorganisation, better present products and services, or establish cordial relations
  • It is not given or does not create the appearance of being received/given as a bribe, payoff, to obtain or retain business, or to secure an improper advantage
  • It does not create the appearance that the receiver/giver is entitled to preferential treatment, is trying to obtain an improper or unfair advantage through the invitation or is conditional upon receiving anything in return for accepting the entertainment
  • It is reasonable and appropriate in the context of the business occasion

 

Gifts to and by third parties 

  • All gifts over £5are disclosed in a gift register
  • The gift should beused to benefit all employees g. chocolate, fruits, and flowers. Gift vouchers or cash will not be accepted
  • The gift would not damage the reputation ofMediOpus if publically disclosed
  • It is reasonable, proportionate and made in good faith to improve the image of a commercialorganisation, better present products and services, or establish cordial relations

Raising a concern

MediOpus Staff are expected to exercise good judgement when accepting gifts, should a member of staff be approached with a bribe or wish to report any concerns or allegations, they should report this to the CEO or COO immediately
